Italian Ministry Confirms Acceptance Of Application For Gas Storage Licence

Further to an announcement in June 2007 that Po Valley Energy would together with Star Energy Group Plc, a major operator and developer of underground gas storage facilities, bid for new gas storage licences in Italy, a submission was lodged during September 2007.

The Italian Ministry has formerly confirmed acceptance of the Po Valley and Star Energy application for a tender of gas storage fields in Italy.

It is a competitive bid, and the Ministry timetable has a decision on the successful application scheduled for January 2008.
